DCMHunter Report post Posted April 15, 2008 My brother-in-law sent me some photo's today of our December Coues. I think they look real good for just over three months being mounted. Has any one else got their mounts back yet? Lets see them! Now I just need to waite until my Thanksgiving WI Whitetail hunt to go pick it up. DCM
huntswnm Report post Posted April 17, 2008 Well, this is a NM buck that I took in January of 2007 with my recurve, so maybe it qualifies for this topic Jeff
Browning'sCustomMeat Report post Posted April 17, 2008 I'd move that mount inside before it gets too much weather...... Great looking deer!

Red Rabbit Report post Posted April 17, 2008 I usually figure about 12 months to get a mount from a taxidermist. It may take months to get the hide back from the tannery to begin with, then the mount will be waiting in line to be done with possibly hundreds of others. huntswnm Report post Posted April 17, 2008 Thanks Jeremy, he wasn't outside long, just long enough for the mount to dry out I would agree that turn around time is not a good sign to determine taxidermy qualtiy, either good or bad. Jeff

DCMHunter Report post Posted April 18, 2008 Here is my brother-in-laws WI Whitetail from last November. He already has it home and on the wall. I have a trip planned for this year to try and get me one like it. DCM
