muledeerarea33? Report post Posted October 10, 2019 My anniversary is in 2 weeks. I wanna take my wife to one of the Tucson resorts for the weekend. Eat, sleep, be different. Which one do you recommend? La Paloma hosts one of the banquets we’ve been to and she loved the place!! So it’s a fancy Tucson place.... Or would it be worth driving to Phoenix? I’d prefer alpine or Greer but we only have Saturday and Sunday. And she has health issues that keep her close to town. So what do you think?

muledeerarea33? Report post Posted October 10, 2019 Thanks for the replies, might just book ventana. It’s hard to spend money to sleep somewhere so close to home lol but it’s an occasion.

thegunsmith2506 Report post Posted October 10, 2019 Another vote for Ventana Canyon. My wife loves that place. Get a balcony with a view of the mountains and it is almost tolerable.
CraigK Report post Posted October 10, 2019 Star pass is pretty nice as well. My wife and I usually do the same thing for our anniversary. It still feels like a getaway. We’ve also stayed at the Omni several times... it’s a little more budget friendly than some of the others and is decent.
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted October 10, 2019 Just booked Ventana Canyon. Got a mountain view room and sprung for the romantic package. Thanks again for the input.

creed_az_88 Report post Posted October 10, 2019 Just spent the weekend there last weekend. Take a fishing pole. Their koi pond is loaded with channel cats. I think I'm the only person there that noticed them. It's Loews at ventana canyon right? Not the other ventana canyon one?
