It used to be an old metal military canteen, 1/2 box of shells, knife, 10' nylon rope, fixed 6 bushnell bino, mountain money, pby sandwich and a tag. Hunt all day- never got lost and shot a dam nice buck. Fireman carry it back to the truck drink a few beers and pass out at 7:00pm because your dead and you did not eat enough food that day :P

That is exactly what I did on my LAST hunt!

Now I'll pack alot smarter. ;)

I start with everything I need. Then I add things I might need. Then a few things that I have just laying around. Then by the time I get to the top of the hill it feels like I've added a few rocks, the rear quarter panel to a '59 caddy, a couple of railroad ties and a barbell.

But I like to be ready for anything.

I have seen how this works out well for Gino.

The LARGE compartment is filled with Snacks

But by the time he has to pack meat out it is empty.

The draw back is there is no less weight but just shifted way forward

Unless the mountain money is used ;)
