kwp Report post Posted April 11, 2008 I run the Pathfinder AT's on the wifes 2500 Crew cab duramax in load range E 285/75/16. They have about 25,000 on them and still look great. I got em at Discount with their warranty and they cost aprx 160.00 each. They look like the BFG AT'S. I also run the Toyo open country on my 2500 Chevy in load range E 285/75/16 and they have 35,000 on them and they still have alot of tread on em probably will get 50,000 on these. The 285's are basically a 33" tire. I would recomend buying from Discount tire because you can't beat their warranty plus with that you get free repairs rotations etc... I ran into a problem with Discount today, I have had 285/75/16 on this truck since it was new and now they say they cant mount 285's on stock rims so they want you to buy new rims also. Sounds like the person you talked to at Discount didn't know what they were talking about. There should be no problem putting 285's on a stock rim (I'm guessing it is at least 7.5 inches wide). I put new tires on my truck last fall (BFG ATs in the 285/70/17) and almost all places I talked to including a few different Discount Tires would have put the 315/70/17 on the stock rim. I had the BFG AT's on my last truck and put them on my new one as soon as I could and have always loved them. A couple guys I work with have the TOYO mudders and they like them a lot. They are surprisingly a lot quieter than I expected. Neither of them have had the tires very long so I couldn't tell ya what kind of life they are getting out of them. ronaldo Report post Posted April 11, 2008 I got 31- 10.5 BFg all terrains on my toyota and all I can say is I will never buy them again. They were good for about the first 15000 then they got this dang wobble that the idiots at Big-o cant seem to rebalance out. I took it in, they rotated and balanced them, but the wobble moved from the front to the back. So I took it the next weekend and the back tire was out 2.5 ounces!! Well that still didnt fix it, so I figure I got about 30000 on them so its time to get some new ones. Plus, they dont seem to have as good a traction as a softer tire does, kinda slick in the snow and rain. Ive been looking at the Sport King AT's and the Yokohama Geolanders. Both are similar in price, and I like the AT's. Cant stand the mud terrains on the highway!! plus they are UGLY....LOL Ron

Red Rabbit Report post Posted April 12, 2008 Gabe. Have you looked at the Big O XT's? I had a set on my blue Chevy, and liked them for all purpose. They seemed to do well on the snowy pavement, probabbly better than MT's on the slicker plowed highways. TR also likes his set of XTs. Not as noisy as mud tires, but more than the factory all season MS. I got about 50k miles from my set. I liked the XT's better than the Geolanders for mud. The Geolanders would be quieter on the highway. Paul T had his BFG's siped and they did well. Might have the XTs razor siped as soon as you get a set, if you go that way. ndaniel Report post Posted April 13, 2008 Has anyone had any experience with or know somebody that has run the Bridgestone Dueller 693 A/T tires at all?
GameHauler Report post Posted April 14, 2008 I do not have a good suggestion but I can tell you that I have very bad luck with Big O's MT and AT. I had 2 separations on th MT's and 1 on the AT's. My F350 only has just over 60,000 on it and I am ready for my third set of tires GREAT warranty but at the price for 315's X16 I will be looking for something new. Big O AT wear great but wont handle a load I have them on my dodge they were supposed to have a high load rating but every time I put the camper on and go over a 100 miles a tire will seperate every time ! they replacted them but Im getting tired of doing so . cramerhunts Report post Posted April 14, 2008 I run the Big O XT's on my F250 Super Crew and love them. They seem to wear good, aren't too loud, and are more aggressive then the regular all terrains. Phil

BASS Report post Posted April 20, 2008 I have been running Nitto TerraGrapplers on my truck since it was new. The first set I had lasted forever! The second set wasn't too bad, but this last set wore out in no time at all! I was going to go with the Toyos, but man those tires are really expensive for what they are. I may end up with some BFGs or something in the next week or two.
