WHT_MTNMAN Report post Posted April 10, 2008 Probably my favorite hunt, means alot since I shot and missed at this buck in Sept. archery, and killed him in Nov. I did this during my 2nd year of dental school. I also shot this bull during dental school, waited 12 years 9bp to draw in my home unit. Here he is on the wall, not the best taxi work though... azpackhorse Report post Posted April 10, 2008 I consider this a trophy, my first (and hard earned) brownie Coues shed And who else can say they have Rudolph hang'n on thier wall! First Antelope, camera was at the truck so I had to carry him a while............got a little blood on me couple of bulls from New Mexico, not the biggest but one of my most memorable and physically difficult hunts Another great hunt, the one and only December tag I've drawn. Woke to snow on the ground down south, we watched this buck for a long time before I finally took him.
Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted April 10, 2008 This is by far my greatest trophy. My P&Y Desert Sheep from 2001..... Arivipa Canyon. My boy (Colton) and my Bro-in-law (Larry) were with me on the mountain that day and my wife was back at camp. We got it all on video. A 45 yd bow kill! Sharing my most important hunting momment with them was priceless! My close runner up..... Is the largest of my P&Y Coues deer. Archery buck #5 (of 6) fell to my arrow after 10 years of trying to break 100" with a bow. What a day. My boy hiked in that day to share the moment (and help me pack out my Awesome buck). All my very best hunting memmories have been shared with my Wife, my Son, and my Bro-in-law..... I Love them for that! It is Priceless.... to know you can count on family! GameHauler Report post Posted April 10, 2008 I have to agree with you Gino. When you find out that you have drawn a Sheep Tag your whole life starts to revolve around it. The phone calls, Map studying ,Scouting, Planning the camp. It was without a dout the most involved hunt I have ever done. But, any of my Girls hunts rank right up there as favorites. mattys281 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 This pic is kinda crappy, but it was my very first bow kill in 1997. Took about four or five years of bow-hiking to luck into this little javi. This is my first bow-killed deer. Took about 12 years of bow-hiking on & off when I had time, and then about 2 years of butt-busting, do or die bowhunting.
