COOSEFAN Report post Posted April 9, 2008 Alright, it may just be me, but I'm bored with the lack of interesting topics here! For example, we've resorted to having a "guess the score" contest with the bull on the "Elk Crossing" sign (BTW.....Lance is right, it's a dink 5 so why bother?) And you know times are lean when all you've got to post about is your trophy skunk hunt (i actually enjoyed that one though) I want to see pic's of trophy critters you guys have, I don't even care if we've seen em' once or five times before. There is plenty of Newbies here now that will be seein' em' for the first time, so, post up your favorites and tell us why it's your favorite! I know this type of thread shows up annually, but I need a fix now that it's the "slow" time of the year! Let's see em'! Thanks, JIM>

uofahughes2 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 These are my favorite family trophies. I was with my little sister when she killed the buck on the left. Approximately 3 days after I shot a little feller in 06 about 400 yards from where I shot mine. Glassed off of the same rocks and all. Talk about being emotionally torn over that one. Although I did manage to prove that it is possible to kick yourself in the rear while doing backflips. The Buck on the right my Dad took in 1987 and is one of the coolest whiteys I have ever seen, and if anyone asks me where he shot it I'll tell you the same thing hes told everyone for years....... In the neck. Although it is from one of the northern units and goes at 112 and some change. Lindsey's is 114 and 3/8 I believe.

steward224 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 Well I have been waiting 15 years to take an AZ elk and when I heard aobut the over the counter hunt I could not resist. I shot this bull on new years day and well it might as well have been april 1 becuase when I got up to him i was a little dihearted because i thought i had shot one of the 6 points that i had been chasing all morning. it was thick country and after jumping two decent bulls five times i told my self just to shoot next time, if i messed up it would not matter because it was an any elk hunt. so i shot the next time i jumped them and low and behold this is the trophy i took home.
