Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted April 8, 2008 C'n'S, Yep those will work just fine, but the same thing in 6's will work just finer. Give it a thought; You're gonna call in a gobbler to 40 yds or within, then you're gonna pepper his head with lead shot. A little pellet in the brain works just as good as a little bit bigger pellet in the brain. Wouldn't you want to have a denser pattern, more pellets per square inch to insure a brain shot at a target of about 2 square inches? 4's are OK, but not as good as 6's. 2's are wasteful - they waste turkeys. Breaking bones don't work too good with quail or turkeys; break legs they fly, break wings they run. Brain shots work each and every time. Don't ask me how I know. Mike HaHaHa! That is funny, Mike! I did also find the same ones in a 5 shot .... din't even know there was such a thing. Any how I got about 6 of them so might try them too.... I dropped my bird last year at over 45yrds and he didnt hardly move from the impact point. Also sitting on a box of Fed Premium Mag-Shok... I purchased both types based on 1300 FPS muzz vel.
