I have pondered this question for quite some time. And i guess there isnt really much way to tell for sure. But has anyone ever wondered what the Bull on the yellow elk crossing/warning signs would score? i meant it may be only a foot or foot and a half tall but if he was lifesize with that rack, crap he has some mass and really typical. I think i would be happy with a bull like that first or second day with my tag. So whats everyone think, I guess if there is a math wiz here we may get a close guess, according to ratio's and all. My guess is 386 3/8".

Great question! I’ve never really thought about it but now I don’t think I’ll ever be able to drive by that dang sign again with out asking myself the same question.

With a few basic assumptions (spread, etc.) it should be knowable. There should be some numbers people here who can help with this.

I would volunteer to help but math and I went through a really nasty divorce during my junior year in high school. We haven’t spoken since. We were young and immature. Looking back, I just don’t think we were ready for the commitment.

Anyway, hopefully we’ll get the answer soon so we can strike this off the list of things to ponder. I think in the end you’ll be impressed with how close your guess is, though.

Congrats on the draw and good luck in 21!

Na Tony i aint taken it that far.....That bull deserves to live a bit longer, after all i mean his genes are on the side of every road in elk country, every single one has the exact same characteristics! Im thinkin the sign shouldnt make em look so big, someones gonna see a rag horn and not slow down cuz it dont look like the bull on the sign.

ARE YOU KIDDING?

It's like a 250" 5X5 ! No joke, 5X5, take a closer look  Even has a totaly typical 5X frame....

Sorry, no offense to the "Black Elk of the Yellow Sign" He is a trooper and a saint and has saved the lives of many elk and people alike.

But just a dink 5.

There is actually a screwdriver specifically for that type of bolt they use. I dunno where ya can get it but its the same one used on security doors......dont ask how i know ;) I really think he is bigger than two fifty i mean look at the mass. and he has got some length to, not to mention he is very symettrical. PS, ive seen a five point shed that would probably go better than 330 with a matching side.

If we could just get our hands on a set of his sheds we would be fine, as I don't think he's gained or lossed much in the last few years....
