DesertBull Report post Posted April 4, 2008 Is Cash, Haggard, or Jennings playing? Otherwise, it ain't country, just top 40 with a twang. The scenery is good though.

coueschaser3 Report post Posted April 4, 2008 No cash haggard or jennings, but you forgot Coe, Ledoux, buck owens, and a few others. Ya the bands arent that great, some ok stuff early in the day. but i cant say that thats all im there for. Scenery really isnt much different at christies........depending where ya go after
ac guy Report post Posted April 4, 2008 The only guys I'd care to watch would be Joe Nichols, and Dierks Bently. Sugarland sucks. I heard an interview with them where the lead singer talks about doing yoga on stage. WTF? Waylon must be laughing from the grave. The rest either stink, or I've never heard of them. I haven't listened to new country in a long time though. Thank God for Youtube, and Itunes. You can still find the good stuff there.

ac guy Report post Posted April 4, 2008 Since it was brought up, who is your favorite all time singer/band. Just one answer please. I'll start it off with Waylon. If I only had one person to listen to the rest of my life, I'd choose him.

youngbuck Report post Posted April 4, 2008 I went for like 6 years in a row. I didn't go last year, and i doubt ill be there this year. I think it is getting way out of hand. More drama, fights, and arrests every year. Ledoux and Sawer Brown were prabably the best performers I ever saw there.
coueschaser3 Report post Posted April 4, 2008 Ill will be down there, and not so much for the bands this year. firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted April 5, 2008 I personally like Mr. Robbins. I prefer to call him Sir Robbins, but Mr. Robbins isnt bad either! I grew up listening to Marty in my grandparents cabin in Pinetop and he is truly one of the greats!
