BassSlayer Report post Posted August 19, 2019 Went on a night fishing trip saturday the 17th. Got on the water at 9pm and fished till 9am. Had crappie lights set out and fished with minnows and jigs. Caught one throw back sized crappie and a blue gill. Bass fished from around 4am to 9 am, same thing NADA. Water clarity looks like the lake is turning over or something. Don't waste your time going there for awhile. There were several large parties going on at the north end boat ramp, glad we launched at the south end, didn't have any problems there. Haven't heard any reports from San Carlos lake even from our local fisherman ? Dan, maybe you can comment ? 1
Apache7mm Report post Posted August 19, 2019 San Carlos is under 5% now, don't see much more ppl trying to fish it like a month ago. Not too much water coming in and plenty going out. The dirt tanks in the higher country are still producing good fishing for Bass, Cats, and Bluegill. Talkalai has definitely slowed down a lot with the hot temps as usual for this time of year. Ps. Sorry about my loud party😜 DAN

AZHunter1 Report post Posted September 2, 2019 I use to fish there in the spring and we would kick some butt on bass and crappie. Haven't been there in a long time and would like to get back.
