KGAINES Report post Posted April 4, 2008 Lark you are right on with your post. I wonder how much of what is being said between hillary and obama and how horrible they are right now is going to be swept under the rug and not mentioned by our liberal press when the general election starts. The liberals have taken over the democratic party and the extremism is going to lose them the election, any normal democrat wins this election outright, both of the show ponies they have running right now are in a sense, circus side shows that will get attention, but will not get the votes. I would love for someone to run for president and just say straight out what they are going to do, if someone was running and said we are pulling our troops from Iraq, but we are going to do it just after the nuke strikes on Iran and Venezuela, and just after our planes drop every scumbag child molesting criminal we have at ground zero just before the bombs hit. I would vote for the person that convicted every drug dealer and these thieving addicts and put their asses to work building roads and picking fruits and vegetables for farmers, with guards and their high powered rifles that could be used with any reason. I would vote for someone that was willing to help these countries that need it, but would also charge them for what we do, and don't be afraid to say that freaking oil is mine until your debt is paid. I would vote for someone who would allow the use of our natural resources to lessen our dependence on other countries. I would vote for someone who would kick the heck out of Mexico to free their oppressed people and allow that country to utilize their natural resources so they would and could modernize and be a huge asset to our country instead of having to come here just to have a decent job, and cause a strain on our economy. I would also kick the heck out of any country that was caught supporting drug runners that are importing their poison into out country for profit. Someone actually needs to get out of the politically correct mode and speak their mind, fix whats broken, support what is working, and get rid of what isn't. ihunt Report post Posted April 4, 2008 i wish one of these goons just had the integrity to have a solid set of ideas about how to run the country, rather than pandering to every special interest group or demographic they think they can promise votes out of. someone who would just say what needs to be done, and would do it, and to heck with it if he's not elected, he was true to what he though was right. instead they promise everything to everyone, anything to be elected. they have ambitions... not ideas. ac guy Report post Posted April 4, 2008 If he wins I hope he picks Gore for VP. How funny would it be to listen to 4 years of excuses of why the "global warming" farce isn't getting any better, with ole Al making the decisions. I'm sure they'd just keep making excuses like they do know. I like how now they say it's "climate change" instead of "global warming". Now they can blame any unusual weather pattern on us nasty humans. what a crock

I'm sure they'd just keep making excuses like they do know. I like how now they say it's "climate change" instead of "global warming". Now they can blame any unusual weather pattern on us nasty humans. what a crock Why don't someone come out and say that the freaking dinosaurs did something horrible to cause their demise, or that the early mammals like the mammoths and mastadons did something horrible to cause their own demise, no only humans are bad enough to cause their own demise. For those early creatures it was a catastrophic event that they had no control over, a comet, or an ice age, an asteroid, never anything they did. These scientist hope and pray for something bad to happen to the earth so they can say I told you so, but that has been going on since there were scientists so who really cares what they think. These ultra smart people need to stop being ignorant and think of ways to improve society as it is, and not what they hope it will be. If the Earth was to tip on its axis and rotate these idiots would blame it on obesity, or overpoplulation, or the buildings being to high, not that it just happened, and in my opinion if God wants something to happen the scientists be damned its going to happen, gore is a pessimist, I don't trust obama, and hillary is a gravy trainer. McCain is just your run of the mill politician who wants to say what people want to hear, and not what really needs to be done, the biggest thing he has going is that he isn't obama or hillary. If the Earth was to tip on its axis and rotate these idiots would blame it on obesity, or overpoplulation, or the buildings being to high, not that it just happened, and in my opinion if God wants something to happen the scientists be damned its going to happen, I am a scientist, and I study climate. I can affirm that neither I or any of my colleagues 'hope and pray for something bad to happen to the earth,' I read and think about the results and the explanations that other scientists have based their reputations on to make claims like 'global warming is real' almost every day. Its insulting to be dismissed as an idiot out of hand by people who neither try or want to understand the things that so many have worked so hard to discover about our world. The earth's climate is shifting - the argument about whether or not it is caused by humans might be debated by the public and the media, but in the minds of professional researchers there is no argument. There are real threats that are associated with warming; they are alarming to some, and to others like Al Gore enough to stake a political career on. If anyone on this forum has any questions about climate change, global warming, and its effect on Coue's deer populations I'd be happy to discuss it either in public or PM. KGAINES Report post Posted April 4, 2008 Next time should I be more politically correct when I say ignorant, and when I make up a scenario I will not use the word idiot. I think some scientist watch the earth like nascar fans watch a race, just waiting for a crash. I personally would love to hear what you have to say on global warming, I am just a mechanic, I dang sure ain't no scientist so if you could enlighten me I would appreciate it, you can do it here or in a PM, and I am serious. Everything you read about global warming sounds like someone saying the sky is falling, and for every one out there with proof of global warming, there is somebody that claims proof its not. If you could please answer this, how long has man been on the earth and recorded temperatures and climate change, if the climate runs in cycles that are beyond that period how can anyone be sure what truly happened or is happening, not to mention would todays scientist give any credibility to the ones a hundred years or 500 years ago. What caused the ice age, everything I have read about the time of the dinosaurs was that it was pretty warm, I don't even know if there is mention of any ice caps then, but then again we will never know because there was no one there. I believe there is climate change, from week to week, year to year, decade to decade, and century to century, but I ain't throwing all my eggs in the global warming basket. To me there are still more questions than answers, and they probably won't be answered in my lifetime.
wetmule Report post Posted April 4, 2008 The problem with this global warming climate change crap is the science is ALL over the map and the liberal media and the liberals shoving it down our throats are saying no ifs ands or butts "The debate is over". The earth may be warming but man made warming at least as far as we know and I believe right now is still a theory that alot of extremely knowledgeable and experienced scientists don't agree with. The ones that do agree with the "Theory" are getting grants and jobs and the ones that don't are being shut down and silenced. There are all kinds of new discoveries everyday like undersea thermal vents recently found in the Arctic and underwater volcanoes in the Antarctic that could very well be causing the ice to melt. I could go on and on. The point is 80% or 90% of some hand picked climate experts coming to a consensus does not make it science, it makes it a consensus among those people. And very important, there is still an infinite amount to learn. It looks to me like they are putting all their eggs in this carbon basket and all of their models are calculated with carbon in mind. I don't know about you but I can think of several scientific models offhand that were way off and completely incorrect. Last time I checked, science is supposed to be about truth and facts and I haven't seen anything definitive one way or the other. I do know I don't trust the people forcefeeding us this. When do as I say, not as I do Al Gore and Ted "Cannibal" Turner preach and fearmonger their "carbon religon" I'll be repelled every time. Another vote for Lark. DesertBull Report post Posted April 4, 2008 We were taught in school that North America was covered with ice 10,000 years ago. The earth warmed and the ice has been retreating ever since. Man would not invent the the internal combustion engine or any other carbon spewing device for many thousands of years. What's the deal with that? I've also read articles, by scientist, that Mt St Helens spewed more carbon into the air in one week than the US produced during the entire industrial revolution. ALGORE might have staked his reputation on global warming, but he is now staking $800 per plate speaking engagements on it and raking in much loot on his carbon credit scam. The fact is, there is no money to be made if the earth is stable. What I find interesting is that, at first, science called it global warming. Now, since other scientist have actually claimed the earth is cooling, it's called climate change. http://www.onenewsnow.com/Politics/Default.aspx?id=68277 http://firstfriday.wordpress.com/2008/03/2...a-says-nothing/ http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story...99-7583,00.html
