daryl_s Report post Posted March 26, 2008 So the other day my wife finds my 3 year old daughter playing with our digital camera and she had managed to somehow make it so that it won't turn on and the lens was stuck half way out . It wasn't a high end camera but it wasn't a cheapo either. We bought it about 11 months prior and it came with a one year warranty. I sent it in, told them what happened and was expecting an estimate as far as repair price. I figured that since we were sure my daughter broke it that they wouldn't cover it under warranty. They sent me an email that stated that the repair would be $120. I called them with my debit card on hand ready to pay for the repair......the customer service girl told me that they were going to fix it under warranty and I wasn't going to be charged. Needless to say I am very happy with my experience. This will definitely be a huge factor in my shopping next time I purchase a new camera. I just wanted to give Olympus a big thumbs up and I thought it might be something to consider for anybody looking for a camera.
