I've been there a time or two in the past but everything always seemed to work itself out.

I really want to hunt this year lol For a few years I had a credit card that I never used so I made it my licenses and tag applications card. That way I never have to worry about what my account balance is in the event I draw a tag. It never comes out of the safe except for application time.

Plus, the application fees keep the bank happy enough so they don't cancel the account for non-use.

I've thought about doing that too but that's a hard thing for me to do. I would need dog food or have a vet bill come up or my daughter would see something and go "mom, that would make me really happy" and it would be something I think she deserves cuz she really dont get a whole lot of extra stuff. And I couldnt say no lol.

In my case, I have several cards and basically use only one for everything we charge because it's got a really, really low interest rate for balances and pays 5% back on certain purchases that change per quarter. The one I use for apps has no balance, and when it does, I pay it off.
