Loyalty Point Question

Recommended Posts

I just checked the F&G web page to see how many Bonus points I had for ELK, and found somthing odd. <_<

I have 8 bonus points for elk but none are from loyalty points?

It shows loyalty points for Deer, Javelina and Turkey but none for Elk.

I guess I will be calling the local office.

Or am I missing somthing in the way they issue these points?

Anyone else have bonus point problems in the past?

It's possible to have 8 BP and no Loyalty point if you skipped a year of applying in that time frame. You have to have 5 CONSECUTIVE years of applying to get it.

That said, the website is goofy. Sometimes it says I have 12 points for Buffalo and I have never applied for a tag in my life.

Hey BC,

What do you say if you don't get drawn this year you and I put in next year? I'll bring the beer.

You get a bonus point if you apply and are not drawn, you get a loyalty point after your 5th year of consecutively applying for a species regardless of being drawn for a hunt or not. You will maintain your allotted 1 loyalty point after 5 consecutive years of applying. If you have a loyalty point and for some reason miss applying for that species you will lose your loyalty point, from that point you will have to start over and apply for 5 more consecutive years before obtaining a loyalty point for that species.

I do remember several years back I had a Application rejected for some reason.

I guess that could explain it, that is if the G&F are correct in their numbers.

Anyways, I do plan on being drawn this year, thanks to UPS, the odds are getting better.

Come on unit #1 early bull...

thanks for all the input.
