Fall 2008 AZ Hunt Recommendations?

The Commission should vote on the fall hunt recommendations during the April meeting. Generally before, the hunt recommendations with dates and permit numbers are available for review and public meetings are held in the regional offices.

 

Does anyone know if they recs are available and what the meeting schedule may be?

I see on the meeting schedule that Commission is scheduled to meet April 18-19 on (hunt orders) but I can't seem to locate said "hunt orders" or "recommendations".

They are going to the directors office soon and will be available early April I believe.

I was just told by Brian Wakeling that the hunt order/rec should be available on the website about April 7, and that there will public open houses at the regional offices before the Commission meeting on April 19.

For those of you planning to attend the commission meeting just to provide input on a possible ban on baiting, you can save a trip.

 

Any proposed rule changes -- and there will be several -- will NOT be on the agenda for the April gathering. Instead, those proposals will likely be presented at the June meeeting at the earliest as part of "Proposed Rule Changes to Article 3," which will be presented by Jennifer Stewart. After that meeting, there will also be regional ones for public input on the proposed changes. -TONY

Public input Meetings start today, is anyone going? They are decreasing the December whitetail tags by around 700.
