Edge Report post Posted April 29, 2019 Friday a bear trashed a miners camp about a mile east of me. They swore up and down they followed protocol not attracting with food and trash. Sunday morning he passed by my camp but I had nothing to offer. I don't follow the bear hunting guidelines/timetables but if there's a hunt now or coming up in 20A and you have a tag, pm me I want to drop a dime on this bruin.

Could be a young bear, injured bear or an old bear just taking advantage of an opportunity.

I estimated the rear pad was about 5" wide. I tried and tried to take a pic but my camera and I are strangers. The folks downstream were non too happy with the bear, having young kids there on the claim. Reckon the parents had enough on their plate keeping the kids away from rattlesnakes and quicksand. We're in the bears yard I know, but maybe somebody with hounds could chase some sense into him
Edge Report post Posted June 1, 2019 For those of you who contacted me concerning this bear, he's still available. A week ago Thursday I placed a game cam in a tree.and according to the date stamp it only took a few hours for him to find it. I have about 4 pics of him yanking it out of the tree.
