goma Report post Posted March 30, 2019 my neighbor has a place in Young and was up there last week. He said the snow was mostly gone and the road had been graded, not as muddy as it was 2 weeks earlier when he was up there. hope it helps, goma
pwrguy Report post Posted March 30, 2019 I was on the rim on Wed. Not much snow left, I doubt you will have any issues other than chewed up roads possibly
mbiewer Report post Posted April 1, 2019 that's a bummer, no offense to your travel plans.... was hoping it would stay cold and frozen for a few more weeks. ha ha... we got unit 23 turkey tags as well. We had them last year too, and it sucked, they were done after about 10 minutes in the morning.

PRDATR Report post Posted April 2, 2019 Drove from Mesa to Globe then scouted an area south of Young and found one old track. Headed up to the Rim where there was a few spots with snow and came back through Payson. Will be headed up next weekend again. Did see a guy at the store in Young with some nice Elk sheds scattered about his truck.
