On one stand ( of course the one stand Larry forgot his shooting tripod) I called a coyote in 30 yards from him. as he was trying to raise his gun, the dog took of running. Larry followed him through the trees and when he cleared out and slowed to a walk, Larry let one rip. Before he said anyting to me,I told him I heard the "whop" of the bullet hitting home. He agreed but stated the dog ran off. We went and looked for blood and couldnt find any, but are both convinced that he is dead! Reminds me of the cleint I helped Jim on.. shot the dog at 450 yards, saw the dog start rolling over, climbed the mountain ( after he whacked that 101"er) and couldnt find the dog, or blood!
