Ed67 Report post Posted March 11, 2019 Used to hunt it in the 80s and 90s and killed my first elk there. I’ve seen elk, mule deer, turkey, pronghorn, javelina and a couple coues deer in one of the canyons off Anderson Mesa. Have fun and good luck.

ThomC Report post Posted March 12, 2019 Here comes the E-Scouters. I hope that you bought point guard because their was a big die off in 5B over the winter. No Elk left in 5BNorth. The few left will hang around Ashurst campground looking for handouts. Best bet would be get a camo tent and camp 1/4 mile from the campground. After foraging the campground at night the elk will go by you on their way to the denning sites. If i were you I would trade in that tag. 😶 1
