youngbuck Report post Posted March 1, 2008 I use a ripcord, and like it. I know quite a few people who use this also and they all like it. It has a bar ontop of the rest that keeps your arrow from falling off; one of the reasons I use it. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

azcouesandelk Report post Posted March 1, 2008 I shoot a trophy taker shakey hunter but my next bow will have the trophy taker pronghorn. I like the trophy hunters just because they are a simple design and are very consistent. When it comes to a dropaway you really cant go wrong with any of them that are on the market. Alot of people like the ripcord and ultrarest since you can lock them up before the shot (also because it has a bar across) so ou do not need to worry about the arrow coming off. stalkincoues Report post Posted March 1, 2008 I have tried many over the years, including the 2 above, have owned 3 different Trophy Takers and I personally liked the Regular arm the best. I had some contact issues with my blazers and the pronghorn arm. I currently have a N.A.P. Quicktune Smart Rest which I really love!!! everything is adjustable. Spring tension, micro adjust for the wind./elev., forward/backward. adj. It has a plastic arm cover which is very wide. Great for arrow stability/pickup and very quiet when the mole skin is put on shelf and over the arm itself. Little movement required to lift it up and very smooth. All around the best dropaway I have used. Do yourself a favor and look into it. May not be the most popular, but the most practical IMO. My 2nd choice would be the Spot-Hogg Whammy drop away. Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted March 1, 2008 Hey Jeff, You will like the fall-away rests..... I think that there are several that are good. I had a Shaky Hunter and liked it but it was a bit noisy..IMO (when I say noisy.... the guys say my imagination). So I replaced it with the Mathews fall-away and Really like everything about that rest (I have 2 of them and they are consistant). I have always wanted to try the Drop Zone, but never wanted to unload the cash for something I didn't need at the moment. Good Luck.... lots of options! I like the fall-aways alot more because the fletchings never touch the rest so it does not impare flight. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
