AZBIG10 Report post Posted March 2, 2019 Maybe I’m not rehearsed in the Bonus point system. 225 tags = 22 tags dedicated to non resident pool 15 BPs didn’t make the bonus pass as non resident?

Actually there is no non-resident pool, up to but no more than 10% of the tags can go to non-residents. A few years back they changed it to no more than 5% goes to non-residents in the bonus pass and the other 5% goes into the random pass where anyone can get those tags, so if there was 225 tags for the hunt number only 11 tags were available to non-residents.
jim Report post Posted March 2, 2019 There are no dedicated tags for non residents. They can draw up to 10% of the tags. There's no guarantee any non residents will draw.
AZBIG10 Report post Posted March 2, 2019 It’s 5% cap for non res. Not a spectate pool. That is interesting. I guess it safe to assume bull elk archery has crept beyond 15. Ouch

What gets me is how some are drawing great elk tag multiple years in a row or 5 rut tags in a row, how is that even possible?
