Shooter McGavin Report post Posted February 28, 2019 32 minutes ago, dse said: I've been shooting a 270 WSM as my main hunting rifle for the last 10 years, with excellent results. I like the WSM line but I've seen far more pressure problems from factory ammo than any other cartridge. Shooting my Kimber 270wsm since 2004, same ammo. It just started last year. Very well maybe that one box of factory stuff. I can shoot 1-2 just fine, next one gets stuck. Don't shoot it for awhile and same thing. Unfortunately I did save the brass, but couldn't tell you which one it was. The next time I go out I'll be sure to look at the casing of the one that hangs up. lancetkenyon Report post Posted March 1, 2019 Take a look at the heads of the fired brass anyway. If you have an ejector mark on 2 out of 6, it is a very high probability that those are your two overpressure rounds. Looks something like this.
