firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted February 27, 2008 Your right! I looked through a pair of Vortex at Ruff's in Flag last year when all the hype about how great they are was going around. Ive gotta tell ya, i was disapointed! A. I think they are ugly B. I was not impressed with the egronomics and C. I was not impressed with the glass, they were not nearly as bright nor as clear as advertised.

4Falls Report post Posted March 9, 2008 I bought some from Jim at the show last nite. Tried them out today and am very pleased with my purchase. Smaller field of view then the other pair of 15s i own but glass was extremely clear and bright. Thumbs up.

thunderbolt Report post Posted March 11, 2008 Are there any places in globe to take a look at these vortex. a place here in safford carries vortex but they say there in no demand in safford for any 15 power binoculars of any kind. Been to the sportsman warehouse in tucson and they were out of vortex, minox and brunton. I would love swaroski but can't afford that kind of money yet. CouesWhitetail Report post Posted March 11, 2008 Don't know any place in Globe that has them. Maybe Walmart?? I don't know what binos they carry since I try to avoid going there. I held the 15's at the ISE show and was very impressed with how lightweight they were and yet still seemed to have decent optics. The Vortex vipers are a step down from the Vortex Razors, but they don't have 15's in the razors yet. But should be coming out in the near future. But the Razor 15's won't be much lighter than the swaro 15s, but the rep said they would probably be around $1000. The Vortex 15 Vipers are $600. It's hard to argue with the price and weight savings on that one! Amanda

Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted March 13, 2008 Ol' Huntn coues asked me to check out the Vortex line at the ISE show.... He was thinkin' they are equal to Swaro quality. My $.02 was.... I would use the 12x before the 15x just because of the light gathering ability. Not bad optics for the price.... but by far,not Swaro or Lieca quality. IMO They need too make that 15x in a 50 or 60 mm objective lens..... that might help a bunch. I'm not trying to offend, just making a personal review. Thanks, CnS
