Apatkelley Report post Posted February 24, 2008 I was out doing some calling with my son and a friend Thursday when we came across a huge mess left by illegal border crossers Unfortunately, it wasn't an unfamiliar sight. I know that there are many opinions about illegal immigration, but one thing is certain, it is turning our country into a sea of refuse. I am against a path to citizenship for any illegal border crosser, but if there ever is a measure passed it should include a requirement for the applicant to assist in the clean up of the massive amounts of trash left behind on a daily basis. There isn't a single illegal border crosser that didn't contribute to the trashing of our country, and one way for them to show their love for their new country should include cleaning up the mess they made as they made their way here. I think we should figure out on average how many days it takes someone to make the trip, and then require that many days of clean up service. Applicants who don't show up for the clean up projects and give the required service would have their applications denied.
tjhunt2 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 What a great idea. If an illegal is caught, he or she should have to be sent to clean up some of the trash left behind by their fellow illegals. They would have to load 1 huge drop off container before deported. If caught again 2 containers. The third time executed. End of story! TJ
NRS Report post Posted February 25, 2008 Where was the mess located at. there are efforts to clean them up, but sometimes the agencies do not know where they are located at. Pima county is sarting to inventory the locations so they can be cleaned up.
