billrquimby Report post Posted February 25, 2008 awesome pics. anyone know anything about these cats being domesticated.... crossbred with domestics or anything? There's little chance of a hybrid, in my opinion. Bobcats EAT domestic cats. We lost our cat last month to a big bobcat that's been hanging around our winter home. She had escapted numerous coyotes over the five years we had her, but she couldn't get away from the bobcat. We have seen two -- the big one I caught eating our cat, and a much smaller one -- in the past two weeks. We also have a herd of javelinas that visit regularly, along with more coyotes than we need. We have seen seven of the ten Arizona big game animals over the years at our cabin.

They, mostly the mother, looks a little off to me. I have no idea for sure though.
BML Report post Posted February 25, 2008 Hey Tony, My dad lives right there on E. Desert Vista, just north of Dynamite. Their house also backs up to a wash. He and my stepmom walk every day and they have had several encounters with bobcats in those washes. They have also had pigs and coyotes walk down there street in front of the house. They haven't had any animals actually enter their yards though. That would be something else to witness!!
