Bears are here about two weeks a year from the end of August to mid September, only when the apples up the Canyon are ripe.  Every year after their apple snack they break into my chicken coop and kill... until last year when I electrified my chicken area.

I have one you can Barrow, had same problem Last month, had to build something late at night, works great,

The bow sits by the back door for this very purpose.  We had one walk brazenly past my wife just last week, like he owned the joint.  Being up against a preserve, our 8' block & view fencing does nothing to stop them.  

Lookin on the bright side tho...it's a twoofer!  I get to stop the threat & practice my skillz!
