Do we really need a border wall?

Do we really need a wall?

  1. 1. With the shutdown going can't help but wonder what opinions are of the subject. A wall could work maybe but would a lot of Border Agents lose jobs? On a smaller scale you might still have to consider wildlife such as Jaguars. What do you guys think is the best approach?

    • Build a giant physical wall.

    • A high tech wall With more sensors, night vision cams and blimps similar to what we have in Sierra Vista, supported by more Border agents

    • Hire more Border Agents

We already have numerous walls in strategic places.  A giant wall along the whole border, however, doesn't make sense to me.

Just consider the case of Texas.  Why build a wall when we already have a moat called the Rio Grande.  And if you build a wall in Texas, it will necessarily be on our side of the Rio Grande so we would basically be ceding all the land on the southern side of it to Mexico.  That just makes America smaller.

I think the emphasis should be ports of entry.  Keep the walls we have.  Increase technology and boots on the ground where we walls are impractical.

People with bad intent know that only a small percentage of trucks at the ports of entry get searched and they can afford to play the odds.  The 1 load of 5 that gets seized is a cost of doing business because they know we just spot check.

Ya they don't cross the Rio Grande, watching a show right now about the shooting today, black tar heroin , don't think its coming thru the ports of entry, if walls don't work then tell Hollywood to tear all there walls down. Just my opinion but really

Because it’s not just about drugs. It’s about people coming across in mass. 200 illegals in a group can’t cross in the back off a ford truck

Think about this...drugs that cross our border are consumed within 30 days... Aliens that cross our border consume our resources for a lifetime!

In some places, you are 100% correct, a wall would be worthless. However, what about the the say 40 miles east and west of the Baboquivari mountains that are 100% wide open? A little Normandy style barrier to keep cars out, and a 4 strand barn wire fence is literally all we have protecting our country.

“There is not an emergency crisis at the border that warrants the asinine and anti-American anti-immigration tactics endorsed by the president and his minions;

She is a liberal, you should she the gun laws she is try to push through. The entire NM sheriff officers are standing up and telling her they wont enforce any un-constitutional laws.  They want all the illegals they can get, give them a drivers licence and register them to vote (DEMOCRAT)  then they can disarm us and raise taxes to 70%. You must first dis arm those you wish to rule . Thats why they want sanctuary cities and lots of illegal aliens.

if trump pushes the wall forward calling it a national emergency the dems when theyre in control could say "assault weapons" are a national emergency.

Bump Stocks got banned without a National Emergency, or vote.
