azhuntnut Report post Posted February 14, 2008 While I was pig hunting this past January, I noticed there was alot of these owls burrowing in the area. You know when you hit one of there holes while driving in the dark. You would think that you just fell into a ditch. This particular one I saw quite a bit on my hunt and let me get within about ten feet to take pictures. There were so many in this area that I saw a burrow about every fifty yards right on the dirt roads. Here is a video with more info on the owl.
