Is it true that retailers can not sell the 2019 OTC permits till 01/01/2019?

well they finally sold it to me with manager approval, but the girl kept saying G&F sent an email to not sell them till 01/01/2019.  i had to go through this same thing last year.

Well now that you say that, the cashier advised me of the fee, but was with a few other purchases and I didn't check the receipt. I assumed I was charged it.

I get mine every year at this time at G$F HQ. Usually no waiting and everything is neatly printed and legible. Don't forget to get your kids a license. Great deal at 5$!!!

Walmart in Kingman tried telling my buddy that last year. Had to get a manager to come back and take care of it. They use that excuse because they are lazy and just don't want to fill them out.

Got mine at Cabelas 2 weeks ago but paid no attention if they charged a convenience fee.
