Plus, I might try and use it on an elk hunt in the future, so an accurate load with the 210s will be good for that too. Well up left that part out of the original post 😉
lancetkenyon Report post Posted December 24, 2018 Got the brass mostly prepped this morning. It is in the tumbler now, then anneal it when it comes out. I was pleasantly surprised at the weight consistency of the new Remington brass. All 100 pieces are within 2.3gr. 194.2 to 196.5. Necks leave a lot to be desired, so I ran them through the FL die, and chamfered inside/outside after sizing. Before After Necks chamfered Uniformed the primer pickets, deburred flash holes too. Max case length is 2.494", trim to length will be 2.484"

trphyhntr Report post Posted December 24, 2018 I don’t reload, but i imagine this is what happens when you’ve run out of every single possible reason to reload more ammo

roninflag Report post Posted December 24, 2018 Lance there is an article in February shooting times. page 36. 2678 with a 210 using re-22. there is no data yet for re-26 I think would be awesome. I believe any of the bergers from 175 to 210 would work if you could get low sd, high velocity and less than one moa. ron

recurveman Report post Posted December 26, 2018 I'll be impressed if you don't spend all of the $500 dollars you win in reloading supplies!!!!!!!!  Not sure of the upside except the bragging rights.  I think it will be much easier than you think.

lancetkenyon Report post Posted December 26, 2018 Going to try the Berger .308 200.20X Hybrid. .640 BC and should be able to push them a bit faster than the 210-215, meaning less drop/drift @ 1760.  This is the 200.20X @ 2600fps This is a 210 HVLD @ 2550fps2550fps 215 Hybrid @ 2500fps In comparison, a 175 SMK @ 2800fps
duckhunter175 Report post Posted December 26, 2018 Let's see the iron sights you will be working with!! Â Do you get to do any modifications to those? Wondering what kind of combo you might be able to come up with. I know muzzleloader guys have Williams that use inserts for hunting out west where optics are not allowed. Seems like something in that style might be useful??
