Read the bill. It states that all non stamped ammo will have to be discarded by a certain date. No hording ammo. The Endangered Species bill will also tie the G&F Dept to new rules on establishing hunts. Example, if the pronghorns or sheep are not expanding or they are losing too much habitat, the G&F might be forced to end the hunts to comply with the new law. .270 Report post Posted February 13, 2008 hey, i've been tellin' everbody that will listen forever, to not drink the koolaid. endangered species legislation is more about getting people off of the land than it is about helping endangered animals. the last thing these huggers want is for an endangered animal to get unendangered, because then they lose their control. it's a shell game. and anyone who isn't watching this real close had better start and real soon. and anyone who is in favor of any of this crap is not the friend of outdoorsmen. fixing any "endangered" species usually takes minimal changes in how outdoorsmen do things. we ain't the problem. it's the years of other crap that is. you change things to how they should be and monitor things and let real live biologists do their thing and things get better. but all this hugger crap wants everything to change drastically and wants everything to be something much more critical than it is, so they have control. and they flat out lie, distort, fabricate, hide, change, etc. anything that doesn't fit their real plan. now they have hidden stuff in this plan that is their only to limit freedom. watch out fellers. ya can't let up on this stuff. .270 Report post Posted February 13, 2008 .22's are handgun ammo. a .308, .223, '06, etc. are "assault" gun ammo. it's just a matter of time. our governor is bound and determined to leave his mark on Az. before he leaves. remember some years back when you had to register pistol ammo? did it for years. seems like Reagan repealed it. one of the presidents. heck, it was more than a week ago. anyway, after they had done it for over 20 years, nationwide, not one case was ever solved because of it. not one dang case. after the billions that were spent managing it. not one case. this is about getting into your house and making everyone a criminal and having control. spit out the koolaid if you're drinkin' it boys. this ain't good. June 2009 - Construction stopped of all McMansions adjacent to Pusch Ridge Wilderness (PRW), east of State Highway 77, north of Magee Rd; all current McMansions, Resorts, Golf Courses are to be torn to the ground and replaced by natural vegetation. Land owners given fair market value for their residences/properties during first 90 days, those who refuse to sell will have their properties seized as 'eminent domain' June 2010 - 100 Desert Bighorn sheep are reintroduced into the PRW, replacing the extinct native population of bighorns. December 2012 - First managed hunt of mature rams from Pusch Ridge Desert Bighorn herd Cost of property conversion to natural habitat: ~$4,000,000,000.00 (2008 dollars) Cost of moving sheep: 2,000,000.00 Cost of hiring 2 full time rangers, 1 ecologist, 4 seasonal employees: 600,000.00 (annual) So, for the price of only 4.26 billion dollars I will have a 1:500,000 chance of getting drawn to hunt a sheep in my backyard!!! billrquimby Report post Posted February 14, 2008 I like this provision: "Endangered species may be removed, captured, held or destroyed without permit by any person in emergencies involving an immediate threat to human life or private property." If we can get the department to declare elk an endangered species we finally will be able to protect ourselves from those big bulls that are an immediate threat to our lives up at our cabin.
