You know, as well as I, that the meeting will be in some far corner of the state, on a Wednesday, at 8:00 am.

The april meeting is in Phoenix, every time I have went it has been on Saturday when this stuff is discussed and public input is allowed.

I know before on some issues they ask for public input on a thurday at 2:00 p.m. at the fairgrounds and they let you know wednesday at noon, This should be different. The Animal rights people will be there, they always are, and I would bet if there is blood in the water they will attack as well.

That poor deer just wanted to get a drink and BANG bambi is dead, or it just wanted a little salt and BANG bambi was murdered. I personally don't give a dang what these people think, I haven't protested them picking soy beans or killing all of those plants that are minding their own buisiness, so I think they should stop protesting what we do, but they won't because they think how they live is how everyone should live, where as I think to each his own.

If we allowed the world to not hunt and fish, and to not raise animals for food, and not manage them at all we might as well plan on the end of the human race, which would make a lot of those types happy. Of course they also believe in live and let live and that the animals would not harm a human if there was no threat (Tim Treadwell), there is probably a huge list of people that are attacked by wild animals and I would be willing to bet that the majority said they didn't know it would happen. The last time I checked wild animals are WILD, and the only thing we have over most predators is Brains, but listening to some of these idiots we could argue the fact. Sharks, crocs, and gators kill people we build boats, lions, bears, tigers, and wolves kill people we use weapons, or we domesticated some and used them as we see fit, because a human against most animals in a straight up fight is getting killed. The funny thing is that hunters do more than anybody in the World to protect species, either as a huntable species or as something that benifits from our hunting dollars and restoration efforts to save habitat, and restore others.

That is the one for the upcoming hunting season. I believe they are supposed to have a separate time for public input on new rules, as Outdoorwriter outlined in a previous post.

We need to keep our eye open on this, so when the public input is asked for we can give it. At any of the commission meetings they have a call to the public at the end and you can go up and speak about anything, having facts and support is helpful when doing that though.

I will say this about this whole mess. If it is anything like our system in AK and the dealings we have with the Feds over Halibut this is how it will work:

They decide what they are going to do. They open it up for pubic comment because they are required to. They sit there and stare at you while you testify with a "hurry up you idiot" look on their face. Then, they do what they have conspired to do all along.

The bottom line is they are Government Pawns who are brain washed into forgetting you are the ones they serve and that your opinion matters. They have sold their sole to the big machine and are therefore destined to suceed at taking away your rights. They are smug and have lost all human compassion towards those they "serve". They are slaves empowered to screw us at our own expense.

You might think "dang this guy hates the government"! You got that straight.

As far as baiting with food sup's I would leave that up to the individual hunter.Me I do the salt thing and to be honest with you my sucsess rate has not gotten any better. I am not really sure who's side Az. G and F is on but it doesn't look like things are working the way there suppose to. I also don't agree with there more hunters in the field program don't who thought that one up but if you ask me that was more a money thing. And when you start managing that way everything goes to ---- real fast. Don't know if I can do the ---- thing but if it's wrong I apologies and won't do it again.

You guys know they will release the draw results the day after they ask for public comments, at that point everyone will be preoccupied to respond. I have let it known how I feel on this and will stand by that to the end. I do wonder how many other state agencies will let you talk to a person as close to the situation as Leonard, we might disagree with him and the department on a lot of issues, but he is usually available, and will answer a phone call. We also have a few wildlife managers that willl respond to questions on this website, I am not saying that they are right, but there is a link to the department.

Good luck to everyone in the draw, and I will see you guys and gals hopefully at the Dept. Meeting.

I would think it is the April meeting, but we will have to watch to make sure, I will try to keep updated and post as needed and I expect others to do the same.

Way earlier in this thread it was stated that hunter opinion wouldn't matter. Is this correct?

More or less.... reguardless who wants to argue it  ..... yes, we will not have any say in the final outcome. Possibly a "token" input session, but the matter is really not up for dispute and will rather be treated as a resolution of (what AZGF views as) a major problem.
