Deer Cain Minerals

Making salt illegal was mentioned as a way to lower hunter success, especially Coues deer hunters. This has been discussed quite a bit on this forum and I bet there is a ton of great information available if you search it out. Like I said I would fight losing this tactic for hunting, but there are probably a lot of hunters that would be glad to see it go because it isn't how they hunt, we have enough division amongst ourselves for this to be a problem without any help from the outside, and as much as we say hunters need to stick together we don't, but we better start. If we were all together on this and there were at least hundreds of us that would show up at the commission meetings we wouldn't have to worry about any of this, but when less than twenty show up and there are almost as many anti's there spouting their rhetoric.

We do not show up in numbers at these meetings like K Gaines stated. They do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Until we do they will take what they want.

There is a way to change that. Maybe post dates/locations for these meetings. I for one would more than willing to attend and give my 2 cents.

Just an after thought, I have tried baiting with zero success. I probably wont spend anymore time trying. I just hate giving an inch.

Forgive me, im not diplomatic when it comes to my/our rights, but IMO sometimes the best solution is a middle finger

I love using the middle finger but rarely does it accomplish anything other than make me feel good.

April 18-19 Phoenix (hunt orders)

This one is where the hunt dates and seasons are set, someone might be able to correct me if this one is the most important or not. I can't remember if we are in the second year of the two year plan either, and that might make another meeting more important than this one. There are quite a few on here that know way more about this than I do, maybe they can give some input.

GH is a friend of mine but I have to disagree with him on this one. Has it gotten to a point where one can't ask a guestion on something that is legal and that most everyone on this site has used or is using still to increase their odds of success? :( Is it any different than GH, or anyone else for that matter, posting trail pics with animals on salt and feed? :o Don't you think PETA could use these pictures much more affective than just words? YOUR BAD MIKE and whoever else takes your side.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with GH that this could be some ammo for the animal rights idiots but I also disagree GH going off on someone asking methods about salt & feed and members commenting on their success of its use. You know what they say about those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. ;)

OK, so do we stop talking about binos, radios, trailcams, custom rifles shooting out to 1000 yards, guides taking money, for animals found, so clients can kill, etc. See what I'm getting at. We need to stick together and not throw stones. :) This is just what the anti's would like for us to do.

TJ :D

I totally agree with you one hundred percent!! All I want to do if benefit the deer in my area none of this baiting crap was my purpose at all!! I enjoy the trail cameras and just seeing the life stages of the deer! I would be more than willing to attend these meeting and get involved. Thanks for they support on the topic.

Good morning all.

I want to say again that I am sorry for my out burst.

There was no reason for me to make a post in that manner.

What I said, I stand behind but not how I said it.

I have PMed members before when this subject comes up

and it never seems to help so I posted, Baddly.

Think about my message and try to fogive me for my words.

Mike
