Preferably a Ruger American/Ruger American Predator (new are about $420) but other comparable rifles would also work. The budget for this rifle is going to be around the $400 mark with or without scope/rings. With some of the Savage Axis, Thompson Centers Compass coming with entry level scopes for less than the $400 range I’m open to options or suggestions. Thank you in advance for information. If can spend a little more the savage predator is a good rifle, a friend of mine has one that shoots very well. You can also search for an older remington 700 adl, wal-mart sold a train load of them for 325 dollars and I see them for 250 to 300 dollars (they have iron sights on them).
