TexasHunter Report post Posted November 27, 2018 Helping a buddy out selling a gun collection he ended up with. If I sell them on say gun broker do I need an ffl to ship them?
bustedknuckleinc Report post Posted November 27, 2018 Yes unless it’s a Muzzleloader or replica. Meaning it has to be shipped to a FFL.
PRDATR Report post Posted November 27, 2018 If you ship UPS and tell them what it is they will make you ship it to an FFL holder. You will have to contact the FFL and have them send you a signed copy to show UPS.
dsotm Report post Posted November 27, 2018 You have to ship it to an FFL, you do not personally need to have an FFL
KBarter Report post Posted November 27, 2018 You don't have to be a FFL to ship, just need to ship to an FFL. I ship USPS priority, print the label at home, add signature confirmation and ship to the FFL on the other end. Generally they will want a copy of your DL for their book. Take a copy of the FFL with you to PO.

Better than “some guy on the Internet said ....” Gunbroker is where I got my info when I started shipping. Some FFLs will require that you be an FFL but that is just their own BS rule, in those cases I ask the buyer to find another FFL or pay $20 to ship through my FFL here.
