thunderbolt Report post Posted February 7, 2008 Does anyone own these or has anyone tried these out? A friend of mine who owns swarovski said that the 15 x 51 brunton binos were very comparable to swaros. The only difference that he saw was in low light situations. I was wondering if any of the coues family had any input on these binos. Jerry
crazy4COUES Report post Posted February 12, 2008 It is VERY hard to compare ANYTHING to the swaro's......Brunton makes a good set of glass for the price. IMO they are far better than some of the others in the same price range. The EPOCH line is a GOOD glass however for some reason they do not offer it in a 15X, only a variable???????????Go figure. I tried for years to justify NOT spending the cash on SWAROVSKI thinking there is something out there comparable for less........WRONG! Get the best glass you can afford and enjoy them! GOOD LUCK
azpackhorse Report post Posted February 13, 2008 I owned a pair for 2 years, they are nice and compact. The glass is good for the $. The main difference is the clarity around the outer edges. As long as you center the objects in the FOV they are great. They do not gather as much light as the bigger objectives but I was not at all disappointed with the over-all performance of the glass, especially for the price.
