Coues&Coyotes Report post Posted February 3, 2008 Was able to get out this afternoon before the next storm arrives. After 3 unsuccessful stands in the cold wind, I was able to call this guy in after about 3 minutes of calling. My son and I actually found a cow carcass and seen two other dogs nearby so I think we'll be visting this location again a little later. Hope you enjoy. Coues&Coyotes Report post Posted February 3, 2008 Nice yote man that dog looks like he has a nice coat on him, what caliber gun did you shoot him with? Yeah I recently purchased this Ruger No. 1V and it's in a 6mm. The more I shoot this rifle the more I love it. The single shot seems to make me settle down to make the first shot count. I'm using 85gr. Speer BT bullets which did no pelt damage at all on this dog.
Bird Dog Report post Posted February 3, 2008 That 6mm looks even better now on your shoulder than on mine. I sure like the looks of coyote being held by a single shot shooter. Ha!
