high rise hunter Report post Posted December 10, 2018 Mid January is when I'll be hunting as well. Last year I was there a week earlier and felt that the rutting action got better later in the hunt. turbo Report post Posted December 17, 2018 yea, backpacking into wilderness commits you to the immediate area of the camp. Fo some reason, once the backpack tent is set up, I tend to hunt that vicinity. Some friends are coming down in January, and we will car camp, moving if needed. More options.
