Hoss50 Report post Posted October 1, 2018 Are there any good Merino base layers out there that don't cost a mortgage payment? Any recommendations on the best base layer options? I am working on investing in better gear, but I am not rich enough to just get on Kuiu, Sitka, or First Lites website and just gear up at full price.
Viper Report post Posted October 1, 2018 Check camofire. They have baselayers quite often. Black Ovis has their brand also. I bought Core 4 Element off camofire a few years ago but haven't seen it anymore.
awatson Report post Posted October 2, 2018 The thing with camofire is they mostly have xxl & 3xl and sometimes small. I rarely find something in my size : xl
mattys281 Report post Posted October 2, 2018 I get my wool on amazon. -33, icebreaker and smart wool all make good stuff. Not sure how prices compare to Sitka and kiui, but it’d be hard to not be cheaper than they are.
Hoss50 Report post Posted October 4, 2018 I have been watching campfire lately, and have been looking at smartwool and a couple others on Amazon. Has anyone tried coldpruf? They offer some poly/wool blends that dont cost a fortune.
Heat Report post Posted October 6, 2018 Check out First Lite, they have stuff on clearance. Their wool is pretty good.
