Lunar Eclipse

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Thought some of you might want to take your kids outside to see the lunar eclipse that is going on right now (wed 27th 6:47 pm). The moon is full tonight but will be completely eclipsed shortly. I think the peak is supposed to be at 7:15 tonight. It will probably be waning after that. One of the newspaper articles I saw said it was supposed to actually get colorful (orange) sometime around 7:30. But it's just black and white out there now.

Anyway, might a good excuse to take the family for a night hike around the block or sit out back and watch it.

Amanda, I got excited about your message, blasted out the back door to see this rare, unusual event. Slipped on the ice and stared up at the big snowflakes that were coming down by the gazillions. No partial moon or stars visible here tonite. We don't all live in sunny southern Arizona.

Amanda, I am in missouri tonight for work. I can't see the moon tonight. A lot of people don't realize how good we have it in Arizona and I sure don't brag about it while I'm on the road. I can't wait to get home so I can go out scouting. I will be in 4b. I got drawn for the Nov elk hunt.

All I can see is clouds, in not so sunny AZ.

I got the kids and went outside, no moon, no eclipse, only clouds.

i hid in the closet until it was over. eclipses spook us cro-magnon types. wonder if it's a "sign", seein' as how deer season starts tomorrow? Lark.
