Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted February 1, 2008 Nice job on the dogs.....makes me want to walk off the job right now and go start whacking coyotes....
tjhunt2 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I was wondering what everyone did with their coyotes once they were shot. Is it ethical to leave them or what? I haven't a clue. TJ
Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted February 1, 2008 Not really interested in getting into the ethics of it all...but I skin and sell the pelts. I honestly don't kill enough to make a dent in the pack, but I do like teaching my kids about the uses and purposes of taking game other than the sheer joy of killing. I have a buddy here that if I don't have the time or want too....I can drop the dog off and he will skin it and sell the pelt....

I shot a fox last year archery, while pig hunting, and then felt bad about it afterwards caus I wasn't going to eat it. I guess I'm getting to soft in my older years. I do think it's alright for others to shoot coyotes and foxes. TJ
trophymaster Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Redneck, I was wondering were your buddy is located and if he would be interested in taking other dogs. I would like to give someone the dogs I kill I am just not set up to stretch and tan the hides. PM me if interested Thanks,
IHunt2live Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Can you just salt the hide for sale or do they expect it to be tanned to? I'd love to shoot some yotes to but can't justify just leaving them out there and I'm not set up to tan either. Mike

I to have a hard time shooting something and leaving it lay. I call in a lot of foxes and I personally don't think I will ever shoot another. They're to pretty. GameHauler Report post Posted February 2, 2008 OK Varmit Hunters Edjumacate us none varmit hunters. I think the only good Yote is a dead yote. but as others have stated I do not Take (Yes Tony and Bill, I said Take) a living critter to leave it lay. And I am not saying you did. I really think that is our DUTY to reduce the predetor population. So what do we do with this Being? Mike
