IA Born Report post Posted August 13, 2019 My great uncle was a bomber pilot in WWII. He was shot down and spent nine months in a German POW camp in Holland. He was fed a tulip bulb every day for food and given a cup of tea with it. He went home after his release, but answered the call again in Korea. I didn't learn the whe story until after he passed. If all my grandma's brothers and sisters (12 total), he was my favorite. So dang funny and humble.
