Larry McEnnis Report post Posted August 27, 2018 Quote Thanks everyone, it is a great piece of property. The Klondyke area holds all sorts of game, I've gotten pic's of bear and lion on my trail cam, tho only once. The property is at 3500', so it's at the top end of mesquite and just starting into PJ's on the upper end. Contact me and I can arrange to let you come and wander around on the place. Larry. Larry McEnnis Report post Posted August 27, 2018 You can view it on Goggle Earth at 32 deg., 51'.10.62N/ 110 deg.21'.2.88W. It will give you a general idea of the terrain. I don't seem to have many pic's, but here are a couple. Thanks!

Flatlander Report post Posted January 10, 2019 Seems like a very reasonable price. Would be nice if AZGFD could buy it and open it back to the public.
Larry McEnnis Report post Posted January 10, 2019 There seems to be a problem with AZGFD from some of the people in Klondyke, and I have been asked by several not to sell to the G&F for various reasons. And while I'm at it; several years ago I thought I was being stopped out in the field by the Sheriff's Office but it turned out to be G&F. A black truck, with a gold star on the door, and a storm trooper looking guy dressed all in black. Is this what our G&F department is becoming?
Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted January 10, 2019 I have never been in that area before and am curious what direction you would access that property? From the 77 on the Mammoth side or the 70 on the Thatcher side? Seriously have never been in that area at all but have seen signs for Aravaipa Canyon........thanks
Larry McEnnis Report post Posted January 10, 2019 There are two ways to get there; depending of where you live, Phx or Tucson. From Phx you'd take the 70 and get off at mile marker 313.5 on the Klondyke/Bonita road, from Tuc you'd go to Willcox and then north up to Bonita, then west to Klondyke. The property is at the west end of the Aravaipa Canyon, it starts about 10 downstream from my place.

Have you spoken to AZGFD about this property? Would you consider a conservation easement? Knowing conditions down there I am not surprised the animosity for AZGFD since they are a public agency and many of the property ow era down there prefer to lock up large tracts of public land by blocking off access with private land and locked gates. It would be interesting to see what access your property might open up that neighbors would prefer to keep as their own private playground.
