CatfishKev Report post Posted August 13, 2018 So I have one pair of 15s that when I look through them after looking through any other binos for any length of time I immediately feel eye strain. But when I look through that same pair for awhile and then switch to any other pairs I again have eye strain. I'm thinking maybe the culmination (alignment) could be off but I'm not sure. I don't see any double image or anything. Has anyone ever had the same experience? The pair in question are vortex vultures. However, before getting them I looked through other vultures and didn't have a problem at all.
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted August 13, 2018 A. Have you checked the focus? B. Just send them in.
AZ8 Report post Posted August 13, 2018 Did you properly set up the focus on each? You have to set the focus for each eye seperately. Left eye first, right second. With right eye closed, focus left eye with center wheel. Then close left eye and focus right eye with diopter wheel. Then lock diopter. Your binos are now properly set up for your eyes when using the center wheel.
CatfishKev Report post Posted August 13, 2018 Yes focused correctly. Figured I'd have to send them in.
Flatlander Report post Posted August 13, 2018 Not sure what prisms those have in them but I have experienced some focus issues switching immediately from one focus type to another.
