What is your dream/bucket list hunt?

Dall Sheep

that one's on my list too. But the wife had financial mileposts we have to hit before I can write that check. :(

I would have to have "F you" money before I'd even consider going on one of them hunts. Can't believe the money they get for those hunts.

Its insane! Thats why its just a dream, will never happen unless I can win a raffle somehow.
Move to the Alaska wilderness, those guys on those discovery channel shows shoot them for sustenance

I think it's one of those things that's more doable than people think. I read about a guy that did a dall's hunt on another forum a few years ago. As I recall, I think he said it took him about 5-6 years to save up for it a few hundred bucks per month.

If you're making car payments and paying interest on $6 cups of starbucks liquid diabetes, then you'll never go. If you can live without making interest payments, you'll be able to pull it off. It all depends on what your priorities are.

It's like 16-26k just for the guide. But to some that's not a lot

I did some looking online after reading your last post, those hunts are actually a lot cheaper than what I'd thought. I'd heard $35-40k. The most expensive I saw advertised was $25k+tag & travel expenses.

Still pretty steep, buuuuuuuut............. still pretty steep.

If I happen to ever draw a desert bighorn tag that will be my dream hunt. Hopefully I can still shoot a bow by the time I draw.

Lots of people have no problem dropping $4-800 a month on a truck payment. Save that for a 3 to 4 years and there you have it. Use a credit card wisely for flight miles and it can be done. I'm hoping I can do it in the next 5 years. (Dall Sheep)

I just feel like to spend 20k to hunt something you should be independently wealthy. Just my opinion. If i saved 400 a month for sheep for years by the time I had the money I wouldn't be able to part with it to go hunting for a week. But again, this is Dream hunt

I'm relatively young and admittedly my response reflects that.

I don't have much desire to alter my lifestyle for a one time species/hunt. Just to hunt hard and make memories for now.

Whether it includes my future kids, wife, or other family and closest friends, my dream hunt will be the one that offers the most fascinating wildlife experience with the most of us involved.

after I got my crap in order, 500 savings a month is easy. Not saying I want to spend it on a dall sheep hunt but if that was my passion I could. And Im not rich, wealthy, or any of that.
