bmf1321 Report post Posted January 21, 2008 Found these little guys today. Mom hauled butt and left them behind. I took some pics and left them. Will she be back for them or are they pretty much coyote bait??

billrquimby Report post Posted January 21, 2008 I also have found piglets "abandoned" after I spooked a herd. On both occasions an adult returned and took them away within ten minutes or so. I've also seen "pigs" start drifting back to their feeding ground after I busted up the herd. I used this trait once. I called my partner to come over after I'd shot one. It wasn't long before he had one, too. Bill Quimby

bmf1321 Report post Posted January 21, 2008 I had busted the herd very early in the morning, found the piglets and left thinking the adults would come back to get them. I GPSed the location and came back to check late in the day and the little ones were still there without any adult supervision.

bmf1321 Report post Posted January 21, 2008 i want to take them home as pets I definetly thought about it. Probably best for them to be with the mama.PLus, I'll be headed out of town for a week Friday and I wouldn't be able to take care of them. I've heard they are pretty good pets as well.
