Looking at getting a GPS unit...questions?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm looking into two different GPS units and was curious if any of you have advise on either of them (pros, cons, etc.)

1) The Magellan Triton 300

2) The Garmin eTrex

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

With the Triton, I like that one can download the National Geographic 7.5 minute maps. I am considering an upgrade from my present GPS.

I yse the garmin etrex, and I've never had a problem with it. I have the cheap $100 camo one that does just the basics. I like it and its very easy to use.

I have used the e-trex for years. It is very basic but works well.

Some of the newer units I have been around seem to lock-on

faster but that could just be me.
