Mike S Report post Posted June 24, 2018 At the range this afternoon sorting out a lower velocity node (hot weather) load for my .308 M70 Palma/Fullbore match rifle. After my test loads, I went ahead on a whim and bench tested the 5 worst "runout cull" cartridges from my last 100 batch of LR match loads. These Win cases have been fired 5x without annealing and the runout on these 5 was .004 to .006 inches. I was surprised at the resulting 100 yard group with the match iron sights. Shows every barrel/chamber is different in the amount of "slop" it will tolerate in loaded ammo. My lightweight 6.5-06 hunting rifle isn't as forgiving...
