azhuntnut Report post Posted January 11, 2008 I used to go out just to kick around rocks. I have a nice Tesoro detector, but I don't take it out much anymore. COUESAZ Report post Posted January 11, 2008 Yes Amanda you are right i do like it alot. I have two detectors, A drywasher, Vac pack, And sluice box. I have more gold pans than i need as well. Yes Gold is way up right now and we expect to see it hit 1000.00 an ounce. It is a good time to be finding it. Just be carful that you are not on any claims. When gold gets this high the people get crazy. I am working on a new area right now that i think holds some good Placer gold. It shows good sighns of old timers hand stacking rocks and doing some drywashing but nothing looks like it has been detected yet. Lots of Gold in our state.A friend of mine just found this neice tripple a few weeks ago. RedBeard Is the man on this board. I bought one of my best detectors from him a year ago.
