tjhunt2 Report post Posted May 24, 2018 Just got off the phone with forest service and they said Woods Canyon Lake area will stay open thru this holiday weekend. I was told the forest shuts down when the moisture content in the trees drop to a certain amount. So the trees on the east side of 260 on top of the rim are not the same as the west side of the road? It's all about the money that would be lost if they closed the west side of 260 for the weekend. I hope it doesn't come back and bite them with someone stupid enough and reckless starting a fire. I wouldn't want to be up there in that mess. Let's all hope it goes well. Thanks for posting Mike. TJ

TOBY Report post Posted May 24, 2018 Well apparently money does grow on trees...just depends on which side of the road.
